Remote Accounting Assistant (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $1,300 - 1,800 USD/month depending on experience paid via Gusto or Wise

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Pacific Time

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our client's finance team. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The Accounting Assistant will support day-to-day accounting operations including transaction entry, reconciliations, and documentation, while also supporting audits and closings. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, organization, and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Record and reconcile financial transactions in accounting systems.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and files.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Provide general administrative and accounting support to the accounting team.
Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
  • 1–2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles.

Preferred:

  • Experience with ERP or lease/finance-specific systems (LeaseWorks, Salesforce).
  • Prior experience in financial services or commercial lending.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
