Job Description

An excellent opportunity for an experienced and versatile REMIT Business Analyst to support our reporting operations and REMIT II delivery programme. The candidate will act as the SME for REMIT reporting operations, working closely with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the SME for REMIT reporting operations.
  • Lead the analysis and delivery of REMIT II requirements on behalf of the regulatory reporting team, including engagement with industry and internal working groups on REMIT II development.
  • Provide compliance oversight and support to reporting specialists to perform daily REMIT reporting operations and remediation.
  • Document high-quality impact assessment and business requirements.
  • Escalate reporting incidents to the senior compliance manager and document incidents for audit purposes.
  • Lead user acceptance testing efforts to ensure solutions meet regulatory specifications.
Requirements / Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have a good understanding of the regulatory landscape in the commodities sector with operational and delivery experience on REMIT transaction reporting and other financial regulations where appropriate. You must have strong change management experience with a proven track record of interpreting complex regulatory requirements, analysing regulatory impacts and delivering solutions to support regulatory changes in the commodities market. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and influence senior stakeholders across Ethics & Compliance, Technology, Regulatory Legal and trading benches.

  • Experience of REMIT transaction reporting operations and exposure to financial regulations such as EMIR refit, MiFID, MAS and/or ASIC are advantageous.
  • Experience of commodities environment working specifically on REMIT and EMIR regulations (in reporting operations, change management and/or project implementation capacity) preferred.
  • Excellent communication with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across all levels.
  • Strong experience in regulatory horizon scanning, documenting business requirements and impact analysis.
  • Hands-on experience documenting detailed process maps and associated steps.
  • Change management and data analysis.
  • Experience participating in industry regulatory working groups (e.g., ACER, ESMA, ETE, FIA, ISDA).
  • Experience in test case documentation and execution.
  • Knowledge of trading lifecycle, waterfall/agile approaches.
  • Commodities trading background is advantageous.
  • Strong work ethics and compliance mindset.
  • Track record of sharing regulatory knowledge and training others.
  • Ability to influence change and implement industry best practices on regulatory reporting.
