A religious organization in the UK is seeking a Hindu Religious Worker/Temple Assistant to assist with rituals and other activities related to the temple. Job description

Overview

Saiva Munnetta Sangam is currently recruiting for the Hindu (Tamil speaking) Religious worker/ Temple Assistant in non-pastoral role with immediate start.

Successful candidate must be able to assist the activities in conducting Religious work of the Chief Priest of our Chidambareswarar Temple.

Responsibilities

• Help with Hindu / Saiva rituals and other activities connected thereto as directed by the Chief Priest.
• Assist with Madapalli (cooking prasadam) duties, garland making, and other day-to-day ceremonies of a non-pastoral role in accordance with Hindu / Saiva traditions.
• Note: Will not have core duties of leading a congregation in performing the rites and ceremonies of the Hindu faith or preaching the essentials of the creed.
