Job description
Overview

Relief Support Worker – MacIntyre, St Albans. Permanent, Full-time position. This is a relief/bank role supporting the permanent rota staff by filling shifts when needed. A driver with a UK manual licence is required.

Are you looking for real job satisfaction? You will work with children and young people who have learning disabilities. No two days are the same and this is more than just a job. Join us in St Albans to help young people stay active and engaged through varied activities and outings.

What sort of thing might you be doing? Examples include visits to the seaside, reading sessions, visiting the farm, going to the library, sensory room activities, shopping, and engaging in group and individual activities tailored to each young person. Names are changed for privacy.

If this sounds like a great day at work, join us to support each young person in a way that makes sense to them and help them create lasting memories.

How Relief works

The Relief (Bank) post supports the permanent rota staff by covering shifts that are vacant due to annual leave, sickness, training or unforeseen circumstances. Hours are non-specific, but we plan rotas in advance and balance service needs with your work/life balance as appropriately as possible. If you are unable to take shifts, you will remain on the Relief register for 3 months before automatically dropping off. The more you participate, the more you can gain from this opportunity.

Please note: we are currently unable to offer sponsorships as we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. We appreciate your understanding.
