A charitable organization in St Albans seeks a Relief Support Worker to assist children with learning disabilities through engaging activities. Relief Support Worker – MacIntyre, St Albans. Permanent, Full-time position. This is a relief/bank role supporting the permanent rota staff by filling shifts when needed. A driver with a UK manual licence is required.

What sort of thing might you be doing? Examples include visits to the seaside, reading sessions, visiting the farm, going to the library, sensory room activities, shopping, and engaging in group and individual activities tailored to each young person. Names are changed for privacy.

The Relief (Bank) post supports the permanent rota staff by covering shifts that are vacant due to annual leave, sickness, training or unforeseen circumstances. Hours are non-specific, but we plan rotas in advance and balance service needs with your work/life balance as appropriately as possible. If you are unable to take shifts, you will remain on the Relief register for 3 months before automatically dropping off. The more you participate, the more you can gain from this opportunity.
