A local council in the UK is seeking a support worker to assist individuals with complex needs and promote social inclusion within the Canterbury community. This role involves covering staff leave, supporting personal care tasks, and ensuring individuals can participate in activities and access support. Applicants should be committed to obtaining required qualifications and demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.
You will have a flexible approach to supporting people to access activities and participate fully in their local community. We also support individuals with more complex support and communication needs, and you may be required to provide support with some personal care tasks including continence and nutrition.
This is an exciting opportunity where you will be provided with access to a vast range of training, the support to learn, develop and gain new skills which will enable you to become part of a professional, creative, and motivated team.
Based primarily at Canterbury Community Day Service at our Northgate Hub you will, at times, provide support at our other hubs and services in the locality and will need to be able to travel across these areas in a timely manner.
