You will provide high-quality individual care to residents, assist with daily tasks, and support their wellbeing. Overview

About the role: As a Relief Care Assistant you will provide the highest quality of individual care to our residents enabling them to live later life well. You will deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the general estate, including apartment cleans. Duties will be varied and include supporting and encouraging our residents to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing. You will help them to book appointments, arrange transport and where necessary, escort them on visits and assist with their shopping. Every day will be diverse, and you\'ll have the opportunity to use your people skills to make a real difference.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality individual care to residents and deliver housekeeping and domestic support.
  • Support residents to participate in activities that support health and wellbeing.
  • Assist residents with booking appointments, arranging transport, escorting on visits and shopping where necessary.
  • Encourage and motivate residents in daily living tasks and social engagement.
About you / Qualifications
  • Be a warm, friendly individual with ideally some experience of working in a care or support environment.
  • Have a passion for making a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people and enjoy working as part of a team in a busy work setting.
  • Be driven to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Want to work in the Health and Social care sector and preferably have a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification, although consideration will be given to a candidate with alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
Role details
  • Location: Birch Place development in Crowthorne, Berkshire
  • Hourly rate: £13.20 per hour, plus up to £1.30 for evenings and weekends
  • Hours: Shift coverage on an \'as and when\' basis, to be discussed with the development Manager
