A leading reinsurance firm in London is seeking a Reinsurance Technical Accounting Assistant to assist with the day-to-day operations of the UK's Technical Accounting function. The candidate will aid in recording and allocating settlements, support financial reporting, and engage with Group accounting teams. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. This role offers an opportunity to influence process improvements in a dynamic environment.
You will be a Reinsurance Technical Accounting Assistant. Your role will be to assist in the day‑to‑day operations and deliverables of the UK Technical Accounting function, including recording & allocation of incoming/outgoing settlements in the accounting system (SICS), Weekly/Quarterly control reporting, allocation of LORS (Lloyds Outwards Reinsurance System) settlements against outwards reinsurance due balances and Overdue premium analysis.
You will report to the Head of Reinsurance Technical Accounting in London on all technical accounting matters. Additionally, the role requires significant proactive interaction with the Group technical accounting teams to ensure Group requirements are met and to create alignment of processes.
