Lloyd’s Insurance Broker, in their search for a Reinsurance Claims Technician to join the business flexible hybrid basis. Must be able to deal with clients face to face within the London and Provincial areas. You will be utilising your experience in Reinsurance Claims to cover matters across a variety of areas.

This is a varied and interesting position. Excellent communication skills.

As a Reinsurance Claims Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing and completing production of new claim files to a defined standard. Reviewing claims received and providing feedback to third parties where required.

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for producing claims information and presenting reinsurers, either written format such as CLASS or LORS. Additionally, you will be dealing with instructions, queries, and enquiries.

The ideal candidate for this role will have an understanding of the Lloyd’s markets, as this is necessary to successfully process and manage the Claims-related elements of the role. Experience handling reinsurance excess of loss claims.

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • On receipt of claim notification, identify risk, review details in conjunction with coverage/wording afforded, acknowledge to client/intermediary, prepare claims file accurately and promptly and maintain in-house and external computerised claims records.
  • Monitoring reinsurers’ agreement and payment of funds and ensuring that payment is made to the appropriate beneficiary in good time.
  • Providing regular feedback to Claims Manager on portfolio of claims, status and market conditions and their possible implications.
  • Attending internal / client meetings as appropriate
  • Ensuring compliance with FCA Guidelines and Group rules and procedures, including maintaining accurate record.
