Cpl is collaborating with a growing beauty and skincare company with a large customer base, ranging from high street retailers from all around the world, online fashion retailers and licensed products. With a focus on colour cosmetics, skincare, hair care, body care and Fragrance.

The business is looking for a Regulatory Technologist to join a rapidly growing, high-energy business in the Northwest of England. Designing and manufacturing for private label and branded cosmetic regulated products from concept and design to delivery.

The regulatory team are focused on both regulatory compliance and customer need to ensure products meet the highest standards of quality and commerciality. The role will work closely with the Brand, NPD, Manufacturing, Laboratory and Commercial teams to provide expert technical knowledge to the support of both new formulations and maintenance of the full portfolio.

Main areas of responsibility :
  • Ensuring all regulatory policies and processes are in place to deliver compliant global products. This includes the development and maintenance of Cosmetic Product Information Files (PIFs), claims substantiation and the management of Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs).
  • Ensure all customer requirements are met. This includes the requirements of; The Vegan Society, Cruelty Free International (CFI) and Round Table for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) etc.
  • Managing an effective global regulatory horizon scanning process to ensure our regulatory processes remain future‑fit.
Essential Skills :
  • An experienced regulatory technologist with a minimum of 3 years in a cosmetic’s regulatory affairs. Ideally with global reach.
  • Calm under‑pressure and able to balance often conflicting priorities.
  • Of at least graduate calibre in a science‑based discipline.
Preferable Skills (but not essential) :
  • Labelling and artwork experience.
  • Managed NPD activities into global markets.
  • Confident with the cosmetics market.
