We are supporting a respected organisation operating within the motor finance industry to appoint a Regulation & Motor Finance Lead.
This role has been created as part of an expanding policy function and offers a rare opportunity to take ownership of a complex and fast-moving regulatory agenda. You will act as the internal and external lead on motor finance regulation, shaping policy positions, influencing regulators and supporting members through significant change.
Leading on regulatory and legislative developments affecting motor finance and consumer credit
Developing and owning policy positions, consultation responses and guidance
Acting as a key point of contact with regulators, government departments and senior stakeholders
Translating complex regulation into clear, practical insight for internal and external audiences
Working closely with compliance, research and public affairs colleagues to deliver joined-up outcomes
Representing the organisation independently at industry forums, working groups and events
Background in public policy, regulation, financial services, motor finance or a related field
Comfortable operating with autonomy in a fluid, high-pressure environment
Strong written and verbal communicator, able to influence at senior levels
Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
Curious, proactive and confident navigating ambiguity
Hybrid working with flexibility around location and travel
Highly supportive, non-political culture

Salary is £60,000–£70,000 plus an 8.5% non-contributory pension, with flexibility to pay more for the right candidate.
