A healthcare organization in Launceston is seeking a Perioperative Medicine Registrar to provide essential perioperative care to surgical patients. The role requires collaboration with healthcare teams and management of clinical assessments. Applicants must have relevant registration with the Medical Board of Australia and a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience. The LGH Perioperative Medicine Registrar is an essential member of the Department of Surgery’s Perioperative Medicine Unit, who provide perioperative care to surgical patients at Launceston General Hospital. Working under the supervision of Perioperative Physicians, you will be engaged in clinical assessment, patient management, and cross‑specialty collaboration in a multidisciplinary environment. This role offers a unique opportunity for professionals from anaesthesia, medicine, or intensive care backgrounds to gain specialised experience in perioperative medicine, with the potential for this to be counted towards vocational training.
Fixed term full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible until 2 February 2025. You will receive 10 hours of paid, protected training time per fortnight, pro rata. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $134,930 - $189,005 per annum, pro rata+ 12% superannuation+ access to salary packaging
