Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) or Experienced Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN) – Full‑Time Position
Are you an RVN or an experienced SVN looking for your next opportunity in a forward‑thinking, friendly, and supportive practice? My client is expanding their nursing team to keep pace with a growing client base and the evolving services they provide.
They’re currently fitting out a brand‑new in‑house laboratory, including advanced blood gas analysis equipment, and both clinical directors are undertaking further training—one in surgical certification and the other in orthopaedics. This means the nursing team plays an active role in a broad and interesting clinical caseload, with plenty of opportunity to apply and build on their skills.
The role is varied and hands‑on, covering all aspects of patient care, while also allowing you to explore and develop your own areas of clinical interest. They are passionate about education and have an excellent track record of supporting students through training and exams—making this an ideal opportunity for an experienced SVN nearing qualification.
This is a full‑time role, though they can open discuss flexible hours. The practice manages its own out‑of‑hours service, and the successful candidate will join a fair on‑call rota shared across the team on a 1‑in‑6 basis. On‑call is from home, and you won’t be expected to answer phones or monitor inpatients—just be available to assist the vet if needed. Any time spent in practice during these hours is paid as overtime.
They can offer a generous CPD budget and actively encourage further development. Many of the team have gone on to complete additional qualifications in areas such as orthopaedic surgery, wound management, bereavement support, and pharmacy skills. Facilities include x‑ray, echocardiography, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and gastroscopy equipment, allowing for advanced diagnostics and a more engaging caseload for the clinical team.
Team culture is really important— they love celebrating birthdays with cake and treats, and regularly enjoy pizza nights and social events.
If you’re ready to be part of a welcoming team that values your skills, encourages your growth, and provides the opportunity to work on exciting cases, we’d love to hear from you.
