A veterinary practice in Trowbridge is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will use nursing skills to their full potential in admitting and caring for patients. This full-time role consists of 40 hours per week, requiring weekend rotations. An exciting opportunity has arisen at our small animal practice in Trowbridge Vets4Pets for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team.
Based in a well-established and thriving Pets at Home store for nearly 10 years, we have a large and loyal client following which provides a large breadth of case material across a range of small animal species. We’re a modern, purpose-built and fully equipped practice with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, laparoscopy, ultrasound, full in-house lab, separate dog, cats and exotics kennel wards and fully equipped operating theatre.
At Vets4Pets, you will of course receive help from the support centre but what truly makes it special is that we are a locally owned practice supporting our local community. This gives all our practice owners the opportunity to put their stamp on their practices and shape the care we deliver with full clinical autonomy.
We are growing all the time and seeing a variety of interesting surgical and medical cases, because of this we are now looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our existing team of 3 veterinary surgeons, 8 qualified veterinary nurses, 1 trainee veterinary nurse, 1 veterinary nursing assistants and 4 receptionists all supported by the clinical and admin Team Leaders.
By joining us you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential, admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients. Assistance from ANAs and an SVN with turning around theatre, patient prep.
To apply you will have good general nursing experience and great customer service skills, be cheerful, down-to‑earth and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare.
This is a Full‑Time role working 40 hours per week, including 1 in 4 weekends on a rota basis. We are open to considering part time hours so please do let us know if you have any specific requirements.
