A veterinary care provider in the UK is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse for a part-time role in Newton Abbot. The position requires skills in nurse consultations, anaesthesia, and laboratory diagnostics. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our supportive team here at Newton Abbot Vets for Pets on a full or part time basis. Whether you're newly qualified or experienced in your career, we'd love to hear from you. We're based in a beautiful area of South Devon between the Dartmoor and the Sea. We are a friendly team in a very busy practice, with a genuine interest in animal welfare. Our brilliant clinical team consists of 5 Vets, 5 RVNs and our invaluable VCA's. We have 6 client care advisors to support the client journey, allowing our nurses to carry out their roles effectively.
The role is in a varied first opinion surgery, tasks include nurse consultations, admitting and discharging patients, preparing and monitoring anaesthetics, laboratory diagnostics, dental procedures, along with usual day to day tasks. No day is the same at our dynamic practice! Nurses are involved in clinical discussion and encouraged to perform procedures such as dental scale and polishes and taking x-rays.
We are generous with our CPD offering, the opportunity to concentrate on specific areas is welcomed and encouraged, for you to further your interests and develop skills. We are fully equipped with in house laboratory equipment, dental facilities, as well as multi-parameter monitors and digital x-ray. Our patient facilities include separate cat and dog wards and isolation unit to ensure our patients get the best care. We hold a Silver ISFM Cat Friendly award and have recently been reaccredited our RCVS Practice standards. This a Part-Time role working 18 Hours per week (Wednesdays 9am-5pm, Fridays 11am-7pm, plus 1 in 5 weekends) You will enjoy the benefits as follows:
