Oakwood Veterinary Referrals was set up in 1999 at the Willows Veterinary Hospital with the aim of providing the highest standards of specialist care to patients and clients. Over the last 26 years it has expanded into a multidisciplinary referral practice. We currently offer referrals with either Diploma or Advanced Practitioners in Orthopaedic Surgery and Internal Medicine.
Oakwood is a purpose built Tier 3 Hospital approved by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. We have a dedicated imaging suite; in addition to digital radiography we offer, colour flow Doppler ultrasound, endoscopy and an in-house MRI and CT scanner.
We are seeking a clinically experienced, registered Veterinary Nurse to work as part of our Nursing team at our Oakwood Referral Centre. You will be joining a team of:
You will work in a challenging and stimulating environment where you will utilise your skills predominantly within perioperative care, theatre nursing and diagnostic investigative procedures; working alongside specialists in Orthopaedics and Internal Medicine.
The hours for the role are to be based on working 37.5 hours per week which would be worked between 8am to 8pm between Monday to Friday as either 4 or 5 days. An unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes is taken during each shift. The role will include working a pro‑ratio OOH rota which will be discussed further at interview.
This is a Fixed Term Contract for a period of 12 months.
