Job Title: Service Manager - Supported Living Services
Location: Dudley
Salary: £45k per annum

Overview

Claire at Amber Mace is recruiting for an experienced and dynamic Service Manager to oversee four supported living services in the West Midlands. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational management of the services, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to individuals with mental health needs. You will lead and inspire your team, ensuring services are compliant with regulatory requirements, and drive positive outcomes for those we support.

Responsibilities
  • Service Leadership & Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of four supported living services, ensuring consistent, high-quality care in line with regulatory standards. Ensure all services comply with CQC standards, safeguarding policies, and best practice guidelines. Develop and implement service improvement plans to enhance care quality and achieve positive outcomes for service users.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of care staff, providing ongoing support, motivation, and training to deliver person-centred care. Conduct regular performance reviews, supervisions, and appraisals to develop and maintain a motivated and high-performing team. Foster a positive culture of respect, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Client Support & Engagement: Ensure that care and support plans are person-centred, regularly reviewed, and adapted to meet the evolving needs of individuals. Promote independence, dignity, and respect in service delivery. Act as the primary point of contact for service users, families, and external professionals, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure services meet and exceed regulatory standards, including health and safety, safeguarding, and CQC requirements. Conduct audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures to maintain the highest quality standards. Manage the budget for the services, ensuring financial efficiency while maintaining high standards of care.
  • Experience & Skills: Proven experience in managing supported living services, preferably within mental health care. Strong knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding regulations, and other relevant industry frameworks. Demonstrable leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading, mentoring, and developing staff. Experience in managing budgets, ensuring financial control while maintaining quality care delivery. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage with service users, families, and external professionals effectively.
