Colchester Hospital has an opportunity for a Urology Nurse in our Urology Day Unit (UDU). In this post you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Urology specialty and learn new extended skills. This will include undertaking urology nursing skills, for example, assisting in flexible cystoscopy, prostate biopsies, lithotripsy, running nurse‑led clinics such as trial without catheter (TWOC), intermittent self‑catheterisation/dilatation (ISC/ISD) teaching under the direction of the Urology Nurse Practitioners. You will have the full support of experienced urology nurses who are willing to support you to meet your training needs and to reach the competence required to help deliver the urology service.
