Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. Shift pattern for this post: 26.5 hours per week, from 8am to 6pm shifts.

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde for a Band 5 Staff Nurse with a minimum of three years post‑registration experience preferably within a theatre/surgical or anaesthetic environment to join our Nurse Led Pre‑Operative Assessment Team within the North Sector. The Staff Nurse will be actively involved in the provision of direct patient care for a designated patient group requiring pre‑operative assessment prior to surgery and or anaesthesia.

The purpose of the care is to competently perform the necessary administration, technical, invasive and physical aspects of the care for this defined patient group. Ensure an effective delivery of support is provided to patients/service and that an acceptable standard is maintained. Provide, through Divisional policies, a safe environment for the treatment of patients and protection of staff.
