Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse Associate to join our Primary Care team at HMP Wayland, a category C Prison located in Griston in Norfolk.
You’ll receive a salary of up to £32,346 depending on experience. Hours: 7.30 am – 7.30 pm, Monday to Friday; 08:30 am – 17:30 on weekends.

Main duties of the job
- Provide outstanding care to patients, listening to and acting on feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them
- Contribute to and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics, and assist patients with activities of daily living and personal care
- Deliver non-judgemental care including health promotion clinics and observations, supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks
- Inspire excellence by forging strong links within our teams, partners and stakeholders, and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of
- Promote best practice, evidence-based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning; promote patient wellbeing through our Wellbeing Approach with empathy and understanding

Qualifications and experience
Qualifications required:
- Qualified Nurse Associate
- Currently registered with the NMC
- Training to level 3 in the safeguarding of vulnerable people
- Demonstrate current/recent preceptorship pathway since joining the NMC register
- Evidence of post-registration CPD in areas relating to current practice
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
