A national health service provider in Dartford is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their cardiology team. The role includes providing care to cardiology patients, performing scrubbed and circulating duties, and teaching junior staff. Applicants must have a nursing diploma/degree and at least a year of post-registration experience in a relevant setting. The position offers a salary ranging from £32,602 to £39,686 with additional benefits.

We have recently been given approval to expand our team of nurses in order to facilitate the growing service and support not only the interventional Catheter Laboratory, but the advanced ECHO service too. You be required to care for our cardiology patients pre and post procedure and will learn to perform scrubbing and circulating skills inside the Cath Lab. You will also learn to take part in assisting the Cardiac Physiologists and Consultants with Stress Echo, Bubble studies and Transesophageal Echo.
You will be responsible for providing all aspects of patient care through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's time with us. You will perform scrubbed and circulating duties pertaining to interventional cardiology, sharing the responsibility for teaching this skill. You will also participate in pre-assessment clinics to prepare patients for their upcoming cardiac procedure.

Working in the Heart Centre Day ward, the post holder will be caring for patients pre and post procedure and is responsible for providing all aspects of patient care through the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.
They will perform scrubbed and circulating duties pertaining to interventional cardiology, sharing the responsibility for teaching this skill. They will participate in the supervision and management of junior staff. The post holder will work in The Heart Centre Day Ward caring for as well as participating in pre-assessment clinics.
The post holder will have the opportunity to work together with the Lead Nurse for cardiology and the Cardiac Care nursing Team in nurse-led clinics and other activity as appropriate and will be expected to supervise junior staff and to teach qualified and unqualified staff.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
