The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Manager to lead an Ofsted-registered children's homes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated leader who thrives on driving excellence and creating an environment where young people can truly flourish.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance. Your leadership will directly impact the lives of young people with emotional and behavioural needs, helping them to develop independence and achieve meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, support, and develop a team to deliver outstanding care for young people.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and relevant regulations, including the Children’s Act and Children’s Homes Regulations.
  • Prepare for and lead successful Ofsted inspections.
  • Oversee care plans, safeguarding practices, and behaviour management strategies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with external professionals, families, and the wider community.
  • Recruit and retain high-quality staff through safer recruitment practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of learning and excellence.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a management role within a children's residential setting.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards).
  • Previous Ofsted registration experience with a track record of achieving Good or Outstanding ratings.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, therapeutic care, and behaviour management.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and the ability to take part in an on-call rota.
