Registered Manager – Residential Care Home
Location: Ilfracombe, North Devon
Salary: £45-50k Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Are you an experienced care professional looking for a new leadership opportunity in a supportive and rewarding environment? Nurse Seekers, is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential care home based in the scenic coastal town of Ilfracombe, North Devon.

This full-time, permanent position offers a highly competitive salary and an excellent benefits package.The role presents a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dynamic Registered Manager to join a dedicated team, delivering outstanding care to adults with enduring mental health conditions and substance misuse challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to care teams and senior staff
  • Champion resident dignity, choice, and empowerment
  • Conduct regular audits and implement action plans for continuous improvement
  • Run daily workflow meetings with key staff
  • Supervise, appraise, and support team members to perform at their best
  • Manage Heads of Care and the Healthcare Support Team
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager as required
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and manage assessments and admissions
  • Ensure safe and effective medication administration processes
  • Lead or support HR processes including supervisions, appraisals, and disciplinary procedures
  • Contribute to the strategic development and operational efficiency of the home

Requirements:

  • Level 5 in Leadership and Management
  • Experience dispensing medication (essential)
  • Proven leadership and team-building capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, empathetic approach
  • Understanding of the needs of individuals with complex mental health conditions
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritise workload effectively
  • 2 Years managing a residential setting
