Job Overview

We are seeking an adaptable SENDCO ideally with experience in both primary and secondary settings. A Level 7 Exam Access Arrangements testing qualification is highly desirable for supporting our secondary schools in particular, though strong primary specialists are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will also play a key role in shaping and developing our transition programmes both at key phase transfer points and for in‑year admissions, ensuring that every pupil experiences a smooth well‑supported journey into and through our schools. We are open to considering part‑time / job shares.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team including Speech and Language Leads, Enhanced Provisions Lead and Behaviour & Belonging Lead.
  • Coach and mentor SENDCos and school teams to strengthen inclusive practice.
  • Enjoy a workable weekly schedule combining on‑site support with the option for some remote working.
  • Gain experience in a school support role while contributing to strategic SEND development.
  • A qualified and experienced SENDCo with a strong understanding of SEND legislation and best practice.
  • Someone passionate about collaboration, coaching and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
  • Flexibility to travel across schools in the region (Reading to Banbury) with mileage reimbursed (own transport is essential).
