Regional Development Consultant – South East (Kent, East Sussex)

HOURS / CONTRACT TYPE: Full Time Permanent, 35 hours per week.

We’re looking for a Regional Development Consultant to deliver good customer outcomes whilst working with our principal partners including VWG Brands, Retailers and Third-Party Introducers to drive customer loyalty, sales volumes and profitability of Finance, Insurance and Aftersales.

This field based role will be instrumental in visiting and working alongside all dealerships within your set geographical area, commuting distance from the location specified within this advert is very important and you may find yourself discounted if you do not live within a suitable travelling distance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a regional territory strategy and plans, centred on the promotion of sales practices driving good customer outcomes.
  • Deliver on sales targets across New, Used, Aftersales, Renewals, Insurance, and Bank across allocated VWG Dealers.
  • Utilise a range of face to face and remote communications to manage and deliver effective, efficient and targeted sales consultancy activities, within identified network partners.
  • Develop and present clear, concise & influential commercial recommendations to influence investors at Boardroom & Divisional Director level.
  • Implement and record recovery plans to remediate any identified performance shortfalls.
  • Identify, through retailer visits, additional sales opportunities (BEV, Wholesale Funding, Leasing, Rental, Used Vehicle Purchasing, Digital Integration and Insurance), to support wider commercial objectives.
Qualifications
  • Experience within the Automotive industry, ideally in a regulated Financial Services environment.
  • Experience of coaching in a sales environment is desirable.
  • Experience of understanding and interpreting financial accounts would be preferable.
  • Experience in using BI tools (e.g. Tableau) and Salesforce is desirable.
  • Tenacity, self-motivation, initiative with limited supervision.
  • Highly developed negotiation skills.
  • Curious to develop knowledge and ask probing questions to develop understanding.
  • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate a forward looking mindset.
  • Consultative approach, possessing strong active listening ability.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, particularly in relation to how digital technologies can help deliver performance.
