Overview

HWRC Operative - Lingerton Site, Lochgilphead

Salary: £23,801.32 per annum

Shift Pattern: 10 on 4 off

Your primary function is to ensure visitors and members of the public have a quality and safe experience at the HWRC. Your aim is to maximise the best use of resources on site to achieve high levels of recycling and diversion, while always maintaining Health & Safety compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Assist users of the site in segregating materials in line with the Site Working Plan and Safe Operating Procedures, to maximise recycling and landfill diversion.
  • Working in a small team, being totally focused on giving the customers who attend site a quality and safe experience
  • Operation of the HWRC on a daily basis and providing support to the weighbridge for incoming and outgoing transactions during busy periods or periods of staff leave
  • Undertake general site work/duties which include housekeeping, maintenance of skips and containers, litter/paper picking and generally keeping the site safe and tidy
  • Follow all risk assessments and safe operating procedure that are relevant to the post
  • Keep all equipment clean and maintained to ensure a safe working environment
  • Carry out Environmental inspections and assist in closing out corrective actions
  • Comply with and actively participate in company standards, procedures, health & safety, environmental, and quality systems
  • Provide similar support at other sites within the region as required.
