Job description

These are exciting times at ARAG UK, and we have an excellent opportunity for a Recruitment Manager to join our highly effective People and Property department on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis!

As an integral part of the Talent management team, you will develop, implement and continuously evolve the recruitment strategy to ensure that ARAG UK is best placed to attract and secure quality talent. The Recruitment Manager works closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring a high‑quality recruitment offering which is inclusive, flexible, cost effective and focused on business need. Building effective and longstanding relationships within this role is key, and we are looking for individuals who prioritise this and love working with people!

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Talent, you will take ownership of the recruitment strategy, process and policy whilst providing leadership to the Recruitment Team. A key focus will be ensuring effective and timely resource delivery to all areas of the business by attracting and securing talent through building a strong employer brand. Ensuring good customer outcomes is at the heart of everything we do, and you will be customer‑centric in your approach as well as commercial. In addition, you will oversee the management and development of the recruitment team, which includes conducting 1:1 meetings; managing engagement and performance, ensuring processes are executed appropriately and service level agreements are achieved.

It is essential that you will be a credible, approachable and highly knowledgeable point of contact for Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, candidates and third‑party suppliers. This is a great opportunity to showcase great communication skills by working collaboratively and developing trusting and effective working relationships, ensuring a seamless recruitment process for our candidates and hiring managers.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous in‑house resourcing / recruitment advisory experience at team leader, supervisor or manager level, and able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience managing full end‑to‑end recruitment process within specialist and volume hiring models including using applicant tracking systems.
  • Experience and knowledge of recruitment best practice, inclusivity, process, policy and awareness of the appropriate legislation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with stakeholders of all levels, maintaining a fair and robust approach and challenging where appropriate.
  • Experience of leading on direct candidate attraction and proactive candidate sourcing techniques.
  • Effective management of third‑party providers including management of PSL relationship and performance management of agreements.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyse relevant data and market trends and communicate these effectively.
