Job summary

Recovery Worker

Location: Coventry Salary: £19-22 per hour Umbrella Contract: Temporary 3-4 months

Are you passionate about supporting people to make positive life changes? We're looking for a motivated Recovery Worker in Coventry to join our multi-disciplinary team and help individuals move forward in their treatment and recovery journey. In this role, you'll be a key point of contact for service users from their first engagement through to ongoing recovery support. You'll help people reduce drug and alcohol related harm, access the right services, strengthen their well-being, and reconnect with their communities.

What You'll do as a Recovery Worker
  • Support service users from entry into the service through every stage of their recovery.
  • Carry out assessments, screening and recovery planning using motivational techniques.
  • Coordinate personalised packages of care, including psycho-social interventions, 1:1 key work, group work, clinical input and harm reduction.
  • Complete ongoing risk assessments, reviews and referrals to specialist or community services.
  • Promote harm minimisation, provide education around blood-borne viruses and overdose prevention, and support access to needle exchange and naloxone (training provided).
