Job summary

A leading health organization in Wales is seeking a dedicated Receptionist/Telephonist to provide exceptional service in a busy environment. This role requires strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with the public, both over the phone and in person. Candidates should have a high standard of education and experience in customer services. Fluency in Welsh is essential for this position. Qualifications

  • Experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Experience of working within a Primary Care NHS setting.
  • General understanding of the way the NHS functions.

Job description

The post holder will provide comprehensive and high quality receptionist/telephonist service.

The post holder will work in a challenging environment that undergoes constant changes and will need to exercise judgement and use a combination of skills to deal with day-to-day issues.

The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a sensitive and caring attitude that is client-focused and maintain a calm and organised approach when working under pressure.

Main duties of the job

The ability to speak and write in Welsh is essential for this post.

Deal with patient enquiries in person and over the telephone appropriately, efficiently, courteously, promptly and discreetly, recognising the different needs of individuals.

Work flexibly with other practice staff to ensure that the surgery is adequately staffed at all times.
