We are a friendly and well-established GP surgery seeking a reliable and patient-focused Receptionist to join our team. This is a key front-line role, providing an efficient and compassionate service to our patients and supporting the smooth running of the practice.
Working hours Monday, Thursday, Friday 08:00-18:00 one hour unpaid lunch break.
Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness is essential.

The Receptionist will provide a comprehensive reception and administrative service, acting as the first point of contact for patients, carers, and visitors. The post holder will support the multidisciplinary team by ensuring the efficient operation of the appointment system, booking and managing patient appointments, and processing patient information accurately and in accordance with NHS policies and procedures
Wateringbury Surgery is a friendly and innovative semi-ruraldispensing practice with a branch surgery in Larkfield. We are a three partnerpractice with five salaried GPs looking after a patient list of 10700. Weare a friendly, hard working, supportive and caring team with a recognised high standard of care and serviceto our patients.

a. Accuratelydetail information on patients records within the clinical system
b.Maintainand monitor the practice appointment system
c.Processpersonal, telephone and e-requests for appointments
d.Assist with total triage administration
e.Answerincoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers requestappropriately
f.Signpostpatients to the correct service
g.Initiatecontact with and respond to, requests from patients, team members and externalagencies
j.Inputdata into patients healthcare records as necessary
k.Directrequests for information, i.e., DSAR, insurance/solicitors letters and DVLAforms to the administrative team
l.Manageall queries as necessary in an efficient manner
n.Supportall clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested
o.Undertakea broad spectrum of administrative duties commensurate with the role
p.Bean integral part of the general practice team
r.Beaware of duties and responsibilities regarding current legislation and adhereto practice policies and procedures on safeguarding adults and safeguardingchildren
s.Supportin the delivery of enhanced services and other service requirements
t.Undertakeall mandatory training and induction programmes
u.Contributeto and embrace the spectrum of clinical governance
v.Maintaina clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
w.Attenda formal appraisal with their manager at least every 12 months. Once aperformance/training objective has been set, progress will be reviewed on aregular basis so that new objectives can be agreed
