Contract details: Permanent – 39 Weeks per year (Term Time Only)

Hours: 25 Hours per Week

Grade: Grade 3, Scale Point 3‑4

FTE Salary: £24,796 to £25,185

Actual Salary: £14,462 to £15,020

We are a Multi Academy Trust comprising six secondary schools and one primary school with over 750 employees and more than 5,500 students, based in Dudley, West Midlands.

Our alternative provision estate supports learners to share the same ethos; the most vulnerable young people are supported to flourish and achieve success. Greenhill Alternative Learning Campus in Halesowen and Invictus Revive Learning Centre at Leasowes High School aim to support learners in KS3 and KS4 who have been unable to achieve in a mainstream setting.

Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact/front line in receiving visitors, staff and students to the centre.
  • Welcome and receive visitors, sign in and direct staff, students, parents, governors and visitors as appropriate.
  • Be responsible for access control to the site, open/lock and monitor reception doors, managing the centre’s entry system and visitor logs.
  • Sign students in and out of provision.
  • Check visitors/contractors DBS compliance where applicable.
  • Co‑ordinate the centre’s on‑call system, ensuring staff are informed of issues and directed to the relevant room/area.
  • Collect student lunch orders and forward them to the catering department.
  • Take minutes as required at local meetings.
  • Operate the centre’s main telephone, transferring calls or taking and delivering messages as appropriate.
  • Manage the centre’s main email inbox, replying, forwarding messages and making appointments for staff as appropriate.
  • Manage the centre’s notice board at the school site or on school systems – adding and removing content as appropriate.
  • Update the school calendar, adding and removing content as appropriate.
  • Update the school website, adding and removing content as appropriate.
  • Receive and sort incoming mail for delivery to appropriate staff; distribute internal mail accordingly.
  • Record, stamp/fk and post outgoing mail.
  • Sign for parcels/deliveries and advise staff to collect.
  • Assist with the administration of Free School Meals.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the student database, ensuring records are updated as and when required.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the filing and archiving systems.
  • Perform general clerical and administrative tasks such as photocopying, sending correspondence, printing, faxing, laminating etc.

We are seeking a receptionist who will provide administrative support to a small alternative education centre. The post holder will perform receptionist duties and provide daily support for visitors, staff, students and stakeholders.
