Job description

As a Receptionist you are at the heart of your practice. You are the first point of contact for every customer. Welcoming them in, understanding how they are feeling, and making sure they have a great experience. You'll know that first impressions count.

Responsibilities
  • Providing an exceptional patient journey both in person and over the phone
  • Managing the diaries and making sure that the time is filled correctly
  • Working with the team to understand the full range of NHS and Private treatment options available within the practice
  • Completing relevant forms for NHS and private schemes within a specified timescale
  • Taking payments and chasing outstanding patient debt
  • Liaising with dental laboratories, supply companies and other organisations
  • Building rapport and delivering high level customer service through clear and calm communication with patients both in person and over the phone
  • Handling any concerns and queries that patients have regarding the treatments on offer in the practice, including pricing and follow ups
  • Following processes and working in a structured and organised way to meet KPIs such as call answer rate, data capture and rebooking
  • Learning and using SOE software and other IT systems effectively
Qualifications
  • Ability to build rapport and work to a high level of customer service
  • Passion to build knowledge of treatment options within the dental sector and become an expert on what the practice offers
  • Positive nature, showing resilience and always working in a composed manner
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent teamwork skills
  • Comfortable working to practice KPIs and using IT skills with the ability to learn SOE software
