Job description

A warm Slough primary is seeking a nurturing and imaginative Reception Teacher to join the Early Years team on a Full-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Reception Teacher will be invited to pre-term planning ahead of January 2026, attend induction in January 2026 and begin teaching from January 2026 as the Reception Teacher. This Full-Time Reception Teacher role includes mentoring protected planning time and a strong EYFS environment that enables the Reception Teacher to focus on high-quality interactions, language development and early mathematics from January 2026.

Reception Teacher to receive induction and bespoke CPD in January 2026.

Reception Teacher Responsibilities

The Reception Teacher will design language-rich continuous provision and lead daily phonics sessions as the Reception Teacher.

The Reception Teacher will observe, assess and plan next steps, lead transition into Year 1 and run parent workshops as the Reception Teacher.

The Reception Teacher will be part of phase moderation and will implement targeted interventions from the term starting January 2026.

Reception Teacher Requirements

QTS / EYTS or equivalent and demonstrable Reception experience required of the Reception Teacher.

A Reception Teacher who is creative, organised and confident with early assessment practice.

Available for pre-term planning before January 2026 induction and to teach from January 2026 as a Full-Time Reception Teacher.
