Reception Teacher | Long Term Role | BS11 Bristol

Are you an experienced and passionate Early Years Teacher looking for a long term Reception role in a lovely Bristol school?

We are working with a friendly, community driven primary school in the BS11 area that is seeking a Reception Teacher to join their team on a long term basis. The school has a warm, inclusive atmosphere, values its staff highly and is looking for someone who can provide consistency and high quality provision in their Reception class.

The Role
  • Take full responsibility for a Reception class
  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging, play based learning in line with the EYFS framework
  • Create a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment that supports all areas of early development
  • Use observation and assessment to move children forward in their learning
  • Work closely with support staff to maximise learning and wellbeing for all pupils
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers and communicate progress effectively
  • Contribute to the wider life and ethos of this community focused school
What We Are Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong, recent experience teaching in Early Years, ideally Reception
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and early childhood development
  • Ability to create a calm, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Confident classroom management and clear, warm communication skills
  • A reflective, proactive teacher who is committed to providing the best start to school life
