What is the role?

As a Real Estate Lawyer within the Newcastle contingent of our national team, you'll play a pivotal role in handling diverse commercial real estate investment and asset management matters. You'll also provide crucial support on larger real estate finance and corporate support transactions. The team is fast-growing and provides a supportive environment, allowing you to quickly immerse yourself in high-quality work and develop your skills.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

We're keen to see applications from enthusiastic real estate lawyers with exposure to complex real estate work. You should have experience collaborating on real estate investment projects, drafting and reviewing legal documents related to asset management, acquisitions, disposals, and real estate finance transactions. Knowledge of development work would be helpful.

Ultimately, you must have the ability to deliver first-class service to our clients. You'll be a lawyer excited to work in a busy and supportive environment. Excellent drafting skills, commercial pragmatism, a bright mind, and a strong team ethos are essential to help further develop our team's client base.

Business development is important for all our lawyers. You will contribute to the growth of the team by assisting with organizing client events, writing articles for our website, and other marketing activities.

Minimum requirements:

• A legal qualification with 4+ years post-admission experience.
• Experience working on real estate finance transactions.
• Experience working as part of a team on complex transactions.
• Knowledge in key focus areas of real estate law.
