Qualifications

  • Exposure to portfolio, development, or securitisation transactions is highly desirable.

Job Title: Real Estate Finance Solicitor NQ - 3 PQE

Salary: £62,500 - £73,000

Hours: Full Time

Location: Exeter | Hybrid | 2-3 days in the office

A top‑ranked, nationally recognised Legal 500, tech‑savvy firm is seeking a Real Estate Solicitor to join their Exeter office. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex residential and commercial property transactions, including portfolio acquisitions, development financing, and securitisation projects. You will be part of a collaborative, high‑performing team that manages large, inter‑disciplinary transactions for a variety of clients, including registered providers, institutional investors, local authorities, and private developers.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with colleagues across the country on inter‑disciplinary residential and commercial portfolio transactions, assisting clients throughout the process. This includes advising on due diligence outcomes, drafting and reviewing contracts, and proposing practical, commercially focused solutions.
  • Attend project meetings, liaise with clients, agents, and counterparties, and coordinate with transactional and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of deals.
  • Support project management, including task delegation and supervision of junior colleagues, collaborating with professional support teams, and applying AI and other innovative tools to enhance service delivery.
  • Lead aspects of property charging and securitisation transactions, review due diligence information including title searches, and support national colleagues on development, regeneration, and merger transactions.
  • Maintain client relationships, participate in marketing initiatives, and ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Qualified solicitor (NQ - 3 PQE) with experience in real estate, property finance, or related transactional work.
  • Exposure to portfolio, development, or securitisation transactions is highly desirable.
  • Strong client focus, commercial awareness, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
