The role offers a hybrid working arrangement and requires expertise in real estate finance law, including drafting and negotiating finance agreements. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Solicitor qualification in England and Wales or a commonwealth jurisdiction.
  • 5+ years' PQE handling real estate finance.
  • Experience in supervising junior lawyers is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload of real estate finance.
  • Draft and review finance agreements.
  • Negotiate security documents.

Overview

We are currently working closely with a market-leading ALSP that is looking to connect with experienced Real Estate Finance Lawyers with upwards of 5 years' PQE, who will be available for a 12 month assignment with a leading international firm. The assignment is due to start ASAP and will follow a hybrid working arrangement, with 2-3 days per week in the office. The assignment can be tied to either the London, Birmingham, Manchester or Cardiff office.

Responsibilities and qualifications

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor (England and Wales or another commonwealth jurisdiction, such as Australia and/or New Zealand, for example)
  • Upwards of 5 years' PQE in handling a full real estate finance caseload
  • Excellent private practice experience gained at magic circle, silver circle, US or international firms
  • The ability to draft and review LMA Real Estate Finance Facility Agreements
  • Experience in negotiating security/ancillary finance documents in respect of real estate finance transactions
  • Experience in development finance transactions would be ideal, but not a prerequisite
  • Prior experience in supervising more junior lawyers would be highly beneficial
  • The ability to lead on transactions
  • Notable organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple transactions at the same time and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to start a new role immediately or at short notice
