Role

Reading Intervention Tutor

Salary: Grade C (SCP 3 - SCP 5) FTE £24,796 – £25,583 per annum, pro rata salary £21,518 – £22,201 per annum. Contract: Permanent, Part Time. Hours: 37 hours per week, term time plus one week flexibly. Closing date for applications: 9am 5th January 2026. Interview: week commencing 5th January 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group sessions focusing on reading fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary.
  • Plan and implement Individual Education and Intervention Plans tailored to specific student needs.
  • Monitor progress, record responses, and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Build positive relationships with students, making literacy engaging.
  • Promote inclusion, ensuring all pupils feel accepted.
  • Assist with classroom management, promote good behaviour, and provide administrative support.
  • Supervise pupils during non‑lesson times and accompany groups on trips or visits.
