A leading engineering service provider is seeking a Rail Freight Maintenance Technician for a field-based role in the UK. You will diagnose and repair faults on freight wagons, respond to emergencies, and perform scheduled maintenance. Candidates must have NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and a full UK driving licence. The position offers full training and tools provided.

Are you a skilled engineer ready to take on a dynamic, field-based role in the rail freight sector?
Join a team that keeps the UK’s freight wagons moving with precision, safety, and speed. As an On-Call Fitter, you’ll respond to urgent call-outs, perform scheduled maintenance, and ensure wagons are safe, reliable, and ready for action.
Full training (12–16 weeks), tools, and PPE provided.
Work in a supportive team of two during on-call shifts.
Be part of lean initiatives and continuous improvement.
