Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Eastbourne is seeking a Radiology Department Assistant to provide support for patients undergoing radiology examinations. This role entails assisting radiographic and clinical staff with duties such as patient care and documentation. Applicants should have at least 6 months of relevant experience and hold an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. This is a full-time position with varied shifts across the week, offering numerous staff benefits and psychological support services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role in a Health or Social Care Environment.
  • Possession of NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care OR an acceptable alternative Level 2 Qualification.
  • Good communication skills with a sympathetic approach to patients and carers.

Responsibilities

  • Support patients undergoing varied radiology examinations to alleviate anxiety.
  • Assist with pre and post-procedure care required by all patients.
  • Assist with cleaning tasks, errands and general duties in clinical areas.
  • Help with patients’ personal clinical care and safe positioning.
  • Support radiographers by entering and updating patient documentation.
  • Maintain efficient and timely patient flow in Radiology.
