Job description

Are you passionate about making education accessible for all? We are looking for two dedicated HLTAs to join our Inclusion Team and support vulnerable learners who are unable to attend school due to medical, emotional or social challenges. This role is part‑time (24 hours a week) temporary until January 2026 on a term‑time basis.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a broad, balanced and motivating curriculum tailored to individual learner needs.
  • Teach and support a range of subjects through direct instruction and e‑learning, one‑to‑one and in small groups.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, families, schools and partner agencies.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress, attendance and engagement.
  • Maintain effective communication with home schools to ensure continuity in learning.
  • Support reintegration plans for pupils returning to school or transitioning to other settings.
  • Promote pupil safety and well‑being, including conducting risk and safeguarding assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records and produce reports as required.
Qualifications
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners.
  • Experience working with children and young people in educational or support settings.
  • Experience with supporting learners with SEND.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently across various locations, including lone working.
  • Confidence using remote learning platforms and digital tools.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, data protection and equal opportunities principles.
