Job summary

A dynamic technology start-up in the UK is looking for an entry-level candidate to take on a varied role in supporting production and research related to Quantum technologies. Responsibilities include supporting small batch production, developing internal processes, and writing documentation. Candidates should possess an undergraduate degree in physics or engineering, and have experience in laboratory work and coding (ideally Python). The position offers a milestone bonus scheme, generous leave, and flexible hours.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree with at least 2.2 in physics or engineering.
  • Keen and experienced with laboratory experimental work.
  • Fast learner and self-motivated.
  • Experience in coding for control and data analysis, preferably in Python.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tidy and organized work habits.
  • Comfortable working on small components.
  • Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Support small batch production of products.
  • Support research and development in Quantum technologies.
  • Source components and build supplier relationships.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe workspace.
  • Write documentation for production and training.
  • Promote the company through industrial and academic meetings.
  • Assist in writing journal articles and white papers.
  • Develop internal production processes.
  • Design and build optical, electronics, and vacuum systems.
  • Write code for automation and analysis.
  • Conduct testing and evaluation of products and subsystems.

The Role

This is an exciting and varied entry-level role, giving you the opportunity to work hands-on across a breadth of different verticals (optics, electronics, vacuum), our products and help to create an optimised lab environment to turbo-charge our capabilities.

  • Support small batch production Aquark products

What We Are Looking For
