Overview

A growing medium‑sized housing developer is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Nottingham office. Due to expansion and a strong pipeline of new sites, they are seeking someone to support their commercial function.

Job Duties

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. They will seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.

Required Qualifications
  • Driving Licence
Education

Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field is desired but not essential

Experience

Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in housing or residential projects.

Experience with JCT contracts

Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Working Conditions

The role will be based in the Nottingham office with occasional travel to project sites. The Quantity Surveyor will work full‑time hours, with some flexibility required to meet project deadlines.
