Job Description

A new Civil Engineering Quantity Surveyor position has just landed in Maidstone! Are you looking for a new challenge?

Location: Near Maidstone, Kent

Contract type: Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Salary: £55 - 60k (depending upon experience)

The Project:

A diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from road improvements, concrete repairs & reinstatements, aviation projects, paving repairs and specialist framework projects.

The Role:

This is the perfect opportunity working with a well-known civils contractor, who hold an excellent reputation in the area. This role will be site/office based 5 days a week.

You will be responsible for:

  • Procuring sub-contractors, agreeing prices and letting the packages
  • Negotiating costs with various parties
  • Drawing up contracts (NEC)
  • Monthly reporting (CVR)
  • Responsible for work package change control and management
  • Dealing with any pricing variations
  • Responsible for project re-measure
  • Preparing final accounts

Requirements:

  • Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying
  • Excellent IT and maths skills are essential
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent report writing and negotiation skills are essential
  • Experience in highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works

Benefits:

£55,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) + package
