Job description
Quantity Surveyor – Major UK Infrastructure (Heathrow Area)

Salary: £50,000–£60,000 + package

Are you an Assistant QS with 3–4 years’ experience looking for that next step into a fully fledged QS role? This is an excellent opportunity to join a tier‑one infrastructure contractor delivering long‑term, complex works at one of the UK’s most high‑profile transport hubs.

You’ll be joining a business known for:
  • Delivering major civils and structures projects across aviation, highways and rail
  • A strong technical culture with clear development pathways
  • Long‑term frameworks offering stability and progression
  • A collaborative environment where commercial teams are seen as key decision makers
The Role

You’ll work as part of an established commercial team on a large, multi‑year programme. The role would suit someone who is naturally diligent, detail‑driven, and keen to grow into a more senior commercial position.

Core contract administration duties
  • Monthly valuations
  • Managing and valuing instructions
  • Overseeing the weekly Early Warning Registers
Progressive responsibilities
  • Valuing change
  • Cost reporting
Becoming a key commercial voice within the delivery team

Experience in structures or civils is beneficial but absolutely not essential—the hiring manager is far more interested in someone eager, organised and motivated to do well.

Ideal Candidate
  • 3–6 years’ QS experience (perfect for an AQS ready to step up)
  • Strong contract administration ability
  • Proactive, meticulous, and confident managing information
  • Keen to take ownership and grow into a decision‑making role

If you’re ambitious, technically curious, and looking for a role that genuinely accelerates your development, this is a fantastic opportunity.
