£45,000 to £55,000 + Package

Your new role

Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Bolton. You will take ownership of a diverse range of projects across housing, refurbishment, and public‑sector works, ensuring financial control, cost management, and commercial success from inception to final account. Responsibilities will include :

• Managing all commercial and cost‑related aspects of assigned projects across pre‑construction, delivery, and final account stages.
• Preparing valuations, cost forecasts, reports, and monthly commercial summaries.
• Procuring materials and subcontract packages, reviewing tenders, and negotiating terms.
• Monitoring site progress, assessing variations, and producing detailed cost plans.
• Managing contractual documentation, ensuring compliance with company processes and client frameworks.
• Working closely with operational teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Maintaining excellent client relationships and representing the commercial team professionally.
• Supporting junior members of the team where required and contributing to continuous improvement in commercial practices.

What you will need to succeed :

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor or developer environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with a track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish.
• Knowledge of traditional build, housing, refurbishment, or public‑sector frameworks is highly beneficial.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.

• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification (Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management).
