Quantity Surveyor - Major Infrastructure Project (West London)

Contract | Circa 6 Months | Inside IR35 | £500-£600 per day

We are currently supporting a tier-one main contractor delivering a flagship UK infrastructure programme with their search for a Quantity Surveyor to join their site based team in West London. This is a long term contract opportunity, inside IR35 and with a day rate of £(Apply online only), depending on experience. The successful candidate will be required on site 3-4 days a week with 1-2 days remote working available.

Owing to the short-term and immediate nature of the requirement, this opportunity is best suited to an established contractor.

The Role

The appointed Quantity Surveyor will play a critical role in maintaining commercial control across a mix of final account close-out and live works, primarily within utilities and civils packages. Responsibilities will include:

  • Final account management on completed utility diversion and civils packages
  • Commercial management of a live NEC Option C subcontract
  • Administration of compensation events, change control, and cost forecasting
  • Ensuring robust cost control and risk management on high-value, complex works
  • Supporting the wider commercial team in a fast-paced, high-governance environment
Candidate Profile

To be considered, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure, utilities or civil engineering projects
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts, with a particular focus on Option C
  • Background in utilities, diversions, or heavy civils packages
  • Experience managing both final accounts and live commercial positions simultaneouslyThe ability to integrate quickly into an established delivery team and add value immediately

Location: West London

Duration: Circa 6 months

Engagement: Inside IR35

Day Rate: £500-£600 (dependent on experience)

Start Date: Immediate / short notice preferred
