Job description

As a Quantity Surveying Degree Apprentice, you'll have the opportunity to gain practical experience whilst you study towards a BSc Quantity Surveyor with our university partner, Sheffield Hallam, all tuition and accommodation fees covered by us.

Responsibilities
  • To comply with Kier Group's SHE policy and procedures, all legal requirements and best practice on projects and within the commercial function.
  • To support in maximising the planned gross margin on the project and the achievement of the project's budgeted profitability by increasing value, reducing cost, driving profit, managing risk in a safe and ethical manner.
  • To support the full commercial contribution to the organisation and specifically to ensure that relationships between the project and surveying functions are collaborative.
  • To support work winning and commercial strategies and risk mitigations during the tender phase.
  • Attending university during pre‑determined block weeks to attend lectures and meet other students on your course.

Qualifications

To enrol onto your degree, you will need:

  • 5 GCSE at Grade 4 or above including Maths and English.
  • 2 A‑Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications (T‑Level, BTEC National Certificate / Diploma / Extended Diploma Or Advanced Diploma).
  • Other Level 3 BTEC qualifications may also be considered, Disability Confident.
