Job summary

A leading manufacturer in food and nutrition is seeking a Quality Technologist for a full-time position based in Aylesford, Kent. This role offers 12-14 months maternity cover, where you will oversee quality operations across testing, documentation, audits, and compliance. Qualifications

  • At least 2 years' experience in a Quality, Technical, or similar role in food or supplement manufacturing/distribution.
  • Experience managing non-conformances or complaints (beneficial).
  • Awareness of microbiological principles (advantageous but not essential).

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine sampling, testing, reporting, and release of raw materials and finished products.
  • Highlight analytical failures (OOS results) and contribute to investigations.
  • Coordinate concessions, pre-shipment samples, and urgent orders with customer support.
  • Carry out GMP and hygiene audits, environmental and allergen monitoring.
  • Support validation activities such as allergen, homogeneity, cleaning, and shelf-life studies.

Knowledge of Quality/Technical standards used within the food industry (GFSI or similar)
