Qualifications

The role

As a Quality Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of ensuring excellence across our production facilities. Your work will help maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance, supporting projects that make a real difference to national security and public safety. This is an opportunity to develop your career in engineering and defence while contributing to something bigger.

Day-to-day you’ll be:
  • Supporting production with scheduled audits and documentation reviews.
  • Investigating and reporting product issues using 4C and 8D methodologies.
  • Managing non-conformance throughout the build process and raising interventions on Q-Pulse.
  • Ensuring accurate completion of documentation and final inspection before product release.
  • Developing and maintaining quality standards to support production.

This role is full time, 39 hours per week Monday to Friday and is based on site at Walsall.

Essential experience of the Quality Technician:
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Skilled in data analysis and trend chart creation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Background in engineering or manufacturing.
Qualifications for the Quality Technician:
  • Relevant engineering or quality-related qualification (preferred).
  • Equivalent experience in a quality or inspection role will be considered.
