Quality Technician

I am seeking a detail-driven Quality Technician to support the Quality and Engineering teams of a global manufacturer based in Knutsford. The ideal candidate will be confident working with material certifications, suppliers and internal departments to ensure full compliance with company and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with Engineering and Quality teams on certification queries.
  • Conduct witness testing at test houses.
  • Conduct internal audits and participate in 2nd / 3rd party audits.
  • Compile monthly QA reports and KPIs.
  • Provide QA input for Change Management requests.
  • Support customer return investigations using tools such as 8D.
  • Support supplier performance reviews, audits and corrective action follow-ups.
  • Monitor performance of new or re-sourced parts.
  • Maintain quality procedures, work instructions and forms.
  • Investigate product / process failures and implement corrective actions (8D, 5Y).
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience working with manufacturers, suppliers or distributors.
  • Knowledge of quality testing methods and material standards.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to analyse data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, API and quality methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
